Twisted E Ranch Icelandic Horses
Welcome to Twisted E Ranch, a small Icelandic Horse farm in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. We are located right off I-75, 25 miles North of the Mackinac Bridge. We breed, raise and train family horses with natural gaits, elegant conformation and outstanding temperments. Our goal is to produce the ultimate trail horse, a horse the whole family can ride that has smooth, easy to find gaits and is pretty to look at.
We stand Brynjar from Twisted E, a USIHC registered bay pinto stallion, and have a silver dunskin stallion prospect, Silfri from Twisted E. We have a selection of domestic and imported broodmares, carefully chosen to compliment our stallions.
We believe horses should be raised as naturally as possible, and center our boarding program around that concept. We raise up to six foals a year, so we have a wide range of ages in the herd at all times. Our whole family is involved with the horses, so gentleness and respect is a must for all our animals. That Icelandics are typically started in the fall of thier 3rd year, given the winter off, and finished when they are 4? They mature slowly, but are often ridable into their late 20's.
